Vibration is amazingly calming to children with sensory deprivation and devlopmental delay.  By offering the child an overage of sensory input with this pillow, we can now decrease the need for tactile seeking of different textures, and even the need for biting and grinding on unsafe objects. By lowering the need for this type of input, the child immediately displays signs of relaxation.  Once this relaxation level is reached, quiet time or even bed time becomes noticeably easier.
